What is eduze?

eduze is a digital content start-up with a proprietary technology called CLOX – Cloud in a Box.

CLOX allows people to browse, stream and download  digital content quickly and with no data cost whatsoever.

We are seed funded by TED Talks and through their partnership are licensing some of the World and Africa’s best developmental, educational and inspirational content– videos, apps, podcasts and e-books.

Why is eduze needed?

Access to digital content in all its richest forms – video, apps, ebooks, PDF’s, etc. is subject to high costs and slow, unsatisfying connections. More and more Africans have smart devices but limited digital access because of unreliable and expensive Internet connections.

Further, they are required to search for, curate and contextualize the relevant content, using more data and taking time.

These devices are mostly Android OS that require regular app updates, using yet more data. Eduze and CLOX can solve all these pain points, with a simple plug and play solution that offers untold benefits to the user

Where is eduze launching?

Initially in schools and buses across South Africa, with other partners in hospitals, clinics, community centres,

How do I use eduze?

Eduze places wireless content libraries across Mzansi – in buses, schools, shops, offices, etc. We call these libraries CLOX – Cloud in a Box.

  • Look out for posters at these locations telling you about eduze. Check your phone for the free eduze Wi-Fi network name. Also, look out for local eduze street team members, stickers and posters that will give you more info on connecting when you’re nearby.
  • Connect to the eduze Wi-Fi network “Eduze – Free content, no data”.
  • If the eduze pop up doesn’t appear, then surf to ‘eduze.com’ – our content portal will open.
  • Browse, stream and download a range of content for free, with no data costs!
  • Later in 2016 you will also be able to connect to eduze when not in range of CLOX by using your own data

Coming soon – Android and iOS apps!

What device do I need to use eduze?

Any device with Wi-Fi and an Internet browser.
To be in range of one of wireless libraries – CLOX (Cloud in a Box)

To use our app:

We will be launching apps for Android and Apple iOS soon.
